Coates, Ralph

"It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Ralph Coates announce his passing at Carbonear General Hospital on May 29, 2023 at 69 years of age.

Ralph departed this world the same as he entered, surrounded by love. Predeceased by his parents Claude and Jean Coates.  His faithful companion, Jonah Follett.

He will forever live on in the hearts of those he left behind; His soul mate, Kimberly Fitzpatrick; his greatest treasures, daughter, Tina and son Jeffery (Susan). Step-daughter Crystal, Stepson Devon (Chelsey) Fitzpatrick.

His precious grandchildren, Natalie (Lukas), Nicolas (Karla), Jasmine, Neve, Dalton, Emery, and Eli. His two beautiful great granddaughters Kyra and Claire.

Ralph always knew that he would never walk this life alone because of the love he received from his siblings. He leaves to mourn 4 brothers; John (Ada), Len (Mary), Elwood (Maisie), and twin brother Joe (Linda). Three sisters Sadie Ryan (Robert), Margaret Coates (Robert) and Emily (Eric) Seward.

Uncle Ralph held a special place in the hearts of each and every one of his numerous nieces and nephews. He was blessed with an abundance of cousins, and countless friends whom he respected and treated like family.

"Now when I close my eyes, and smile when I think of him.
It is with a saw or a hammer as it was his personal hymn.
I like to think that's how he now spends his hours.
In god's carpenters work shop, using his wood working powers. "
