It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Paul Henry Bailey of St. John’s, NL, on September 1, 2026 at the age of 58.
Paul was the beloved son of his devoted parents, Clifford Maxwell Bailey [June 21, 1939 - March 14, 2025] and Mary Anne Bailey (née Sullivan) [November 19,1935 - November 19, 2021]. May they now be reunited in eternal peace, and may their precious memories linger in our hearts.
Paul will be remembered with great affection by his family and many friends whose lives he touched in such meaningful ways. He was a much-loved son, nephew, cousin, friend and "uncle" to his friend’s children. He especially treasured growing up alongside his cousin Gary, who was more like a brother to him, sharing a close and enduring bond.
Throughout the joys, challenges and experiences of his life, Paul’s humour, kindness and generosity became his hallmark in the lives of those who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A service for Paul and his parents and a private interment is planned for summer of 2027 at the United Church Cemetery in New Chelsea, NL. A specific date and time will be announced at a later time.
Donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association – Newfoundland and Labrador, Lifewise Mental Health Peer Services - St. John’s Region or Stella’s Circle in St. John’s. The family hopes that through greater awareness, understanding and compassion, we can create communities where reaching out for help is met with kindness and without judgment.
Rest peacefully, Paul. You will be remembered with much affection.
