Passed peacefully away at Health Science Center, St. John's on May 29, 2026, Newton Ash of Hant's Harbour, age 77 years.

Predeceased by parents: Bertram and Daisy; stepmother: Laura; sister: Rona; parents-in-law: Ethel and Stanley Rogers.

Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 54 years: Joan; daughters: Jeanette (Mike) and Judy (Henry); sons: Boyd (Lori Ann) and Geoffrey (Erin); grandchildren: Erin (Mahima), Hannah (Nathan), Allison, Spencer, Monica, Hilary, Cameron, Samantha, and William; sisters: Peggy (Ted) and Patsy (Rick - deceased); also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Newton was an avid hunter and fisherman, he was most happy when he was doing anything outdoors.  When he was unable to get outside, he found joy in his woodworking crafts.

Visitation at Green's Funeral Home, Winterton on Tuesday, June 2 from 2:00 to 4 :00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from Green's Funeral Home, Winterton.

Interment at the United Church Cemetery, Hant's Harbour.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
