Our strong and courageous mother passed peacefully away at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion in Carbonear on Friday, November 4th after a short and brave fight with cancer.

Our mom also leaves behind two wonderful brothers: Stan (Rose) and Wilson (Ann) and one very special sister Eileen (Melvin) as well as a large circle of sisters and brothers in law and nieces and nephews.
Mom was also part of the family of residents at Winterholme Manor in Winterton for the past four years where she received great care from Dianne and staff; she had many good times and laughs with her friends there.
Mom transitioned to Long Term Care just a couple weeks before her passing and while her time there was brief she had settled into her new home and received excellent care from the staff on 2 North.

"And they stood and watched her as she went alone; and the gates closed after her. And they said: we cannot see her, but she is with us still. A mother like ours is more than a memory; she is a living presence."
