Dad was very well-known throughout the Avalon as the "telephone man". He worked with Newfoundland telephone for 36 years and retired as a pioneer with Bell Aliant. He truly enjoyed his job and made many friends throughout his career. During the warmer months of the year dad was a frequent visitor of Pinhorn's beach and Downey's bank where "many a yarns was told". Many of his "Beach" friends have passed on before him and the ones that remain will surely miss him.
Many thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at Carbonear General Hospital, and Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion for their kind and compassionate care during his stay there.
