Saunders, Joan Marie, passed peacefully away after a short illness at Carbonear General Hospital on February 28, 2023 Joan Marie Saunders. She is predeceased by her husband Ray in 2018, her parents Uriah and Hannah French. Left with fond and loving memories are her son John (Linda), granddaughters Nicole and Michelle (Wade), and 2 great grandchildren. Brother Max(Debbie), sisters Eleanor and Nellie(Clarence). In August Joan helped plan a siblings reunion, which was a first ever since they were children.  Her laughter can still be heard. She will also be remember for her professional sewing and knitting to which we all admired. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Lanes Luxury Estates, Carbonear and all the staff of 7th floor Carbonear Hospital.  In keeping with Joan's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing or service.
