Jeffrey Hibbard of Heart's Content, age 61, passed away with his wife by his side at Carbonear General Hospital on July 22, 2025.

Jeff was a devoted husband, a proud father, and the kind of Papa every kid dreams of. He worked hard his whole life to give his family everything they needed, and he did it with love, humour, and without ever expecting anything in return. A proud truck driver, Jeff loved being on the road and took pride in his work. He loved fishing and spent countless peaceful hours by the water with friends and family. One of his favourite fishing spots was so special that his close friends named it "Jeff's Spot" in his honour.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Jeanette; his sister, Cheryl; his mother-in-law, Karon Zannoni; his sister-in-law, Kimberly; and his bother-in-law, Allan.

Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his wife and best friend, Tamara; his son, Jeffrey; his daughter, Meghan (Michael); and his beloved grandsons, Jacob and Grayson, who will always remember him as their Papa. Also remembering him with love are his father-in-law, Elio Zannoni; sisters-in-law, Erina (Lorne) Brenton and Diane Borges; brother-in-law, Gord Major; his cherished aunts and uncles: Aduina, Ernie, Rose, Marjy, Ringo, Roger, Tina, and Fred; cousins: and his treasured nieces and nephews: Ryan and Lisa Gagnon, Allanna (Paul), Brennan, Raymond, Kevin, Kara (Carly), Patrick, Samantha, Joey, Taylor and Kyle.

He will also be missed by many cousins, extended family, and friends—especially his fishing buddy, Dave Bryant.

Visitation will take place at Green's Funeral Home, Winterton, on Monday, July 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Heart's Content.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for a memorial for Jeff on Mizzen Trail.
