It is with heavy hearts the family of Goldie Rodgers announce her passing on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Carbonear General Hospital at the age of 91 years.

Predeceased by husband: Leslie; infant son: Baxter; parents: Edward and Ella Sparkes; brothers: Roy (Alice), Howard (Sue), Gordon (Eleanor), Albert (Helen), and Vincent; sister: Violet (Allison) Goodwin; brother-in-law: Wilson Pryor.

Leaving to mourn, children: Beverly (Doug) Straub, Barry (Florence), Wallace (Glenda), Karen (Bill Sheppard), and Darrell (Krista); grandchildren: Lisa, Colleen, Zachery, Nathanial, Cayley, and Breanna; great-grandchildren: Joshua, Marcus, McKenzie, Travis, Patrick, Emilia, Evelyn, and Kayla; sister: Letty Pryor; also a large circle of extended family and friends.

Visitation at Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove on Monday, June 23 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove. Interment at Bethel United Church Cemetery, Sibley's Cove.

The family thanks the staff of Winterholme Manor for the wonderful care they provided to our mom over the past 5 years. Thank you to the Dr.'s and staff of Dr. A.A Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, the ambulance attendants, Darlene and Sandra for their loving care and kindness. Finally to the staff of Carbonear General Hospital for the wonderful care they provided in her final days.
