It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth 'Betty' Tucker at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion in Carbonear, on December 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Betty, a member of the Spread Eagle/Old Shop community, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Predeceased by her parents: Newman and Elizabeth Green; her sister: Helen; her mother-in-law: Alice Pinhorn; also her sister-in-law: Elizabeth Jaremko, who passed away just 16 hours before her.

Betty leaves behind her husband, Walter; her daughter: Bonnie (Terry) Courish; her son: Scott Tucker; and her treasured grandson: Joshua Courish (Kaitlyn Stanley). She will also be deeply missed by her sister, Karen Green, and a wide circle of extended family and friends, all of whom she loved and cherished. Betty's legacy lives on through the love she gave and the lives she shaped.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of 4 North and South at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion for their compassionate care over the years, with special thanks to Brittany Crawford for her exceptional kindness.

A celebration of Betty's life will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share the many beautiful moments she gave us all.
