Edgar James Piercey
January 10,1940 - August 10, 2016
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Edgar Piercey announces his passing at Carbonear General Hospital on August 10, at the age of 76, with his loving family at his side.
Predeceased by both his parents Lionel and Phyllis Piercey. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories are his wife of 52 years-Florence, son Gerald (Audrey), daughter Sheila (Don), granddaughters Jill(Jen) and Jennifer(Bradley), grandson Blaine, great-granddaughter Sienna, brother Fred(Gertie), sisters in-law, Eleanor, Lillian and Rowena, his buddy and companion Sam, his home care worker Dianne and a large circle of special family and friends.
"God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "come to me". You didn't deserve what you went through so he gave you needed rest, Gods garden must be beautiful- he only takes the best."
Edgar will be resting at Green's Funeral Home in Winterton. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11 from 7-9PM, Friday, August 12 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm, Saturday, August 13, from 10-11:30am. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13 at 1pm at St. Luke's Anglican Church. Inurnment to follow at St. Luke's Cemetery in Winterton.
