Green, Daphne Ida, March 6, 1950 – October 6, 2019
With profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend at Carbonear General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, with her sister by her side. Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Emily Smith; parents in law, Daniel and Margaret Green; sister-in-law, Rose Mann; and brother-in-law, Charlie Pinhorn. Left to mourn with loving memories: husband Alex; son Danny (Carlene); granddaughters: Evan and Brooklyn; sister Sandra (Charlie Synyard); brother-in-law David Mann; nieces: Tina & Katie; nephew Michael; Aunt Marina and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends: Donna Murphy and Dave Tough (Karen); caregivers: Sandi, Leah, & Samantha; all her cabin buddies; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. At Daphne's request, cremation will take place. Visitation at Green's Funeral Home on Wednesday October 9th from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 PM & Thursday October 10th from 10 – 12 noon. Funeral service on Thursday October 10th at 2 pm from St. Mary's Anglican Church with inurnment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Heart's Content.
