Elloitt, Catherine Elizabeth; On Thursday, August 18, 2016, Catherine "Kay" Elliott returned to her heavenly home. Her devotion to her friends and family and her firm belief in God supported her in her passing as it did in her life.
Born on Allan's Island, Lamaline in 1924 to Maud (Collins) and Emile Elliott, Kay spent 37 years as an educator before moving to Marystown to spend her retirement days with her best friend Vera Lundrigan. She shared her recent years with her "family" at Meadow Creek Retirement Centre and her many nieces and nephews and in particular her nephew Barry Hatch and his family and her only remaining sister-in-law Joan Elliott and her family. Kay was predeceased by her sisters Eileen, Nora, Mildred, Charlotte, and Margaret and her brothers John, Emile and Leo.
Father Kenneth Walsh will officiate a mass to celebrate Kay's life at 10 am at Holy Family Parish, 69 St. Thomas Line, Paradise on Monday August 22, 2016. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in Bay de Verde at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Greens Funeral Home and Services, Winterton.
